Search and Rescue
#1182 Search and Rescue Division of St. John Ambulance London Middlesex Corps will service a 100km radius of the city of London, Ontario.
The LSAR team is mainly comprised of ground SAR members with plans to expand into other specialties such as rough terrain, and water recovery.
Generally while Police Forces are specially trained, volunteers are responsible for organizing and conducting ground SAR activities. Trained Volunteers are the backbone of most SAR efforts.
Volunteers make up a large part of Canadian SAR teams.
